1/8The Booster Club meeting scheduled for 1/8 has been postponed.
Please watch the Booster Club Facebook page (@Slater Booster Club) for updates and the new meeting date & time.
HS grade cards will not be sent home today as originally planned. We are working to resolve the issue & will send them home ASAP. Our 1st semester awards will be presented at our Student of the Month assembly at the end of January - watch for info in the WILDCAT ROAR.
In compliance with the new law regarding lead in water sources at or above 5 parts per billion (ppb), Slater Schools tested 92 water sources throughout our buildings. All 9 of the water sources that came back above the acceptable level are being remediated or capped off. Most are seldom used sinks or water spigots that need a key to open. Ms. Pointer is giving our Maintenance Crew a well-deserved Shout Out today, saying, "I am grateful to our maintenance staff for taking care of all the things they do. ... They are always willing to help no matter how big or small the task. Thanks, guys!!"
Ms. Pointer is sending today's Staff Shout Out to Mrs. Crumbaugh - she said, "I truly enjoyed seeing the artwork hanging in the gym during conferences. Art can be a difficult subject to teach, but you are clearly having an impact on several of our youngest creators."
Mrs. Tera Allen gets a Shout Out today from Mrs. Crystal Wiseman - Mrs. W said, "She is always willing to help me out when I am going to be gone or even just need to take a moment. I know I can always go to her and she will help me... Thanks for always helping me out!"
Mrs. Crystal Wiseman has great things to say about our HS Office Guru, Ms. Mindy Wiseman in today's Staff Shout Out! She said. " (Mindy)... went above and beyond with a student that was having a medical emergency. She handled it in a professional way and I was so proud of her..."

Mrs. Heilman gets today's Staff Shout Out! Mrs. Wettlaufer said, "Brenda uses a great variety of ideas to inspire and move her students to write in Creative Writing! ...The students are coming up with some really creative and interesting stories, etc. to read!..."
Mrs. Jacki Clements is giving today's shout out. Mrs. Clements says, "... {Mrs. Krog}’s always willing to take on time consuming tasks, to help anyone who needs it, and is ALWAYS here for any student or staff member! I love how much she cares about our Wildcat Family!"
