Juniors had the opportunity last week to visit with Sgt. Binney and Sgt. Patton with the Army National Guard to interpret ASVAB scores as well as take a personality exam to correlate skills. If you have a child that you would like to attend preschool or kindergarten in the Slater School District for the 2025-2026 school year, please contact the elementary office at 660-529-2278 ext. 103. We will need a copy of your child's birth certificate, social security card and updated immunization record. If your child currently attends kindergarten, there is no need to contact the office. Students attending preschool must be ages three or four by August 1. We will fill our spots with the oldest students first. Kindergarten students must be five by August 1 to attend.

Mrs. Marcie with Pre-Employment Transition Services visited with students about emploability skills. This visit included an activity where students had to select characteristics fitting different job titles. Students really enjoyed this activity as it gave them an opportunity to "be the boss"!
