FTA's February Social included making chocolate covered strawberries for our wonderful staff! They also decorated Valentine's Day themed sugar cookies for themselves and their families.
On this special edition of Wildcat Sideline Scoop, Ben and Libby recap all the action from the 45th Annual Wildcat Classic, breaking down every matchup from opening round games to the championship showdowns. The tournament featured dominant performances from top seeds, exciting upsets, and standout individual efforts, including Carrollton’s girls claiming the title and Brunswick’s boys securing their third straight championship. Throughout the week, the crew also brought exclusive on-court interviews with players and stars from the winning schools.

Mr. Meyer will be hosting a rehearsal after school today for the 7th and 8th grade students attending the honor choir event at CMU in March. We will practice until 4 pm, please come if you can make it.

SCCC Students will not travel to Marshall this Thursday or Friday. SCCC is aware. Please check your Google classroom and SCCC email.

The Junior High Dance has been rescheduled for Friday, February 13, 2026 from 7-9 pm.

Due to a significant number of student and staff absences caused by illness, our attendance yesterday was unusually low, and today’s numbers have declined even further. Slater Schools will not be in session tomorrow or Friday. Given the level of illness, it would not be fair or effective to use AMI days and send work home. Instead, these two days will be made up on May 14 and 15, with the last day of school for students falling on Friday of that week. The JH dance scheduled for Friday evening will be rescheduled for a later date.

Dear Parents, Staff and Students
We want to take a moment to let you know that we are seeing an increase in illness within our school community. Keeping everyone healthy is a shared effort, and we appreciate your help in reducing the spread of sickness.
If you are feeling unwell, especially if you have symptoms such as fever, vomiting, sore throat, coughing, or flu-like symptoms please stay home and take the time you need to recover. Coming to school while sick can make it harder for others to stay healthy.
We also encourage everyone to continue practicing good health habits, including:
Washing hands frequently with soap and water
Covering coughs and sneezes
Avoiding close contact when possible if you’re not feeling well
Thank you for helping us keep our school a healthy and safe place to learn and work. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the school health office.
Take care and stay well,
Crystal Wiseman
